
Nicholas Garaty is a Solicitor at Thomas Mansfield Solicitors, working within the firm’s dispute resolution team.
Nicholas focuses primarily on contentious probate and private client disputes, including cases involving testamentary capacity, allegations of fraudulent wills and disputes concerning the validity or interpretation of wills. He is particularly interested in complex and unusual disputes where careful legal analysis and strategic thinking are required.
Alongside contentious probate work, Nicholas assists with a range of civil litigation matters, supporting the team with legal research, drafting court documents, attending hearings and helping manage cases efficiently.
Nicholas previously worked as a County Court Advocate, attending more than 200 hearings across a wide range of matters. This experience gave him valuable advocacy experience and a strong understanding of court procedure.
He has also worked on worker compliance assessments for a well-known accountancy firm, giving him insight into regulatory and professional environments.
Nicholas holds a degree in Law and Forensic Investigation from Canterbury Christ Church University and completed the Bar Practice Course with a Masters in Law at the University of Law. He was called to the Bar in 2021.
Nicholas was awarded the ‘Trainee Solicitor of the Year Award’ by the Junior Lawyer Division of the Kent Law Society in 2024.
