Probate and estate administration fees

We carry out probate work on a time spent basis. This means our fees reflect the amount of work involved, which can vary depending on the complexity of the estate.

Our hourly rates (as at 10 March 2026) range from £140 to £370 plus VAT, depending on the experience and seniority of the professionals involved.

A personalised cost estimate will always be provided at the outset, once we have details of the estate.

Grant-only probate services

We offer fixed fee Grant-only probate services for non-taxable estates. This service is designed for clients who wish to administer the estate themselves once the Grant has been obtained, but who want professional support with the application.

Our fixed fees cover all work required to prepare and submit the probate application and relevant inheritance tax forms.

Non-taxable estate (requiring IHT400)
